Stock question, Model 11

Thinking of replacing the stock on my Model 11. It has the plastic trigger guard with bottom bolt release. Will the trigger guard work on a Boyds Prairie Hunter or Thumbhole stock or do I need to buy a new one from Savage?

The factory trigger guard should work fin but most people upgrade to the stronger metal part Trigger Guard- 107217
