Hello all. I have a .308 savage fcp-sr i have been playing with getting ready for shooting out to 600 and working on groups at 100-300. I am shooting off bipod and rear bag. It jumps hard left and up upon shot. It is already threaded and was thinking about a muzzlebrake or linear comp to get a more consistent jump direction...knocks me way off target. Not worried about the recoil really just keeping more on target if that makes sense. Any suggestions for a good one i can just screw on that dont need timed. If a timed is best is that doable by me with stacking crush washers?

Are you loading the bipod when you shoot?

you can run just about any break with crush washers.

I have a 308 with 20 inch barrel and have a APA little ******* Gen 2 on it and the recoil and barrel jump is about like a .223. I would highly recommend that brake.

With the APA brake you can see your bullet impacts through your scope as you are shooting

I am very happy with the Badger Ordinance Thruster Brake. Got it with a used barrel and really enjoy it.
