Assembling new bolt, with the firing pin protrusion set, what should the firng pin spring length be? The distance between the front and rear threaded nuts?

Or is there some way to assemble other than setting spring length?

Thanks;

Long action 2.600", Short action 1.900" Also check the cocking pin, in fired position it should be able to wiggle, if not wiggling it is acting as firing pin stop, not good.

First I set protrusion to .030"-.035" then adjust the cocking piece so the pin has minimum clearance, maybe .005"-.010" at the bottom of the cocking ramp.
