I have available to me an older Model 111 in 30-06, non accutrigger and accustock version. What's a reasonable $$ value preferably Canadian value if possible. What can you all tell me to look for on this rifle. Its a partial trade towards one of My Norinco M14's, just want to figure out a fair deal for everyone involved.

First of all, welcome to the forum. A bit more information is needed. The letter preceding the s/n would help, wood or plastic stock. blind or DB magazine. What is the general condition of the gun? There are many variables that determine the value of a rifle. In general though, around $300-$400 American is a pretty common range for older 111s in 30-06. Some of the very early ones had the rear sight dovetailed into the barrel and the bolt head fit into a recess in the end of the barrel. These are very good guns but are very difficult to get any parts for, aftermarket or otherwise. More of a collector thing. Hope this helps

I asked the seller for the seriel number he said G1314 (seems a little short for a serial number of a mass produced rifle). the only picture I have is pretty dark and dingy. The trade or deal will be finished in person, so at least I can look it over first. Thanks for what you have given me so far Bolthead!!
