Question on Muzzle Brakes

In the Instruction Manual that came with my new BAS/K rifle in section 7 that too close the muzzle brake twist it 1/4 turn clockwise, well it don't happen will not move any suggestions is now in the OPEN position

Some one must know HOW

Mine only requires around 1/8 turn and its so loose that I wonder if it will remain in the same position after a shot. This was a take off barrel that I acquired. Usually I don't go for the muzzle brakes and such as there more trouble than worth but do keep evaluating.

Have you tried cleaning/oiling the brake? Maybe it's just a little stiff. I have one of the brakes on a Striker barrel and it's very easy to turn on/off.

The brake on the 10BAS/K is'nt an on/off brake, those instructions must be for something else.
