Follower

I have never used a single shot follower, but thinking of getting one.
Checked at Brownells, none there.
Any advice on what brand or material will be appreciated.
Do we have any vendors here selling em?

What mag setup do you have? Blind mag-center feed you can get one from Sharp Shooter Supply. I have one and it has been flawless for 300+ rounds

I'm not sure if the hinged is stagger or center feed. If it's stagger feed Midway has a few options from Score High, Eabco makes some too for stagger

You will need the one from Sharp Shooter Supply, it's what I have, and boy does it make life simpler.

If you do a search on here, you will find where Brothers have fashioned their own, but I paid $18 for mine, and that's not gonna break the bank for all the pleasure it brings. :-)

Edit: opp's, just realized I responded to drybean's post :-(. With all that mess hanging under your action, I don't know what your solution is? :-)

Edit: if You have plans for a stock replacement, you can go with a blind magazine, then You can go with the option I mentioned above.

I have the VLP stock, originally planned to have a CDI bm installed. still may go that route, but even then a follower would be nice for shooting LR off the bench. Rifle was built in 2011, health issues came along and lost interest. But I back. Having fun banging steel at 700 yds.

^ these do not work with Savage SA/ CF ^. Although some have modified them to make them work. Don't know about the hinged floor plate? But Score Hi emfatically states "does 'not' fit newer Center Feed models".

SSS has whatever you need. I just ordered their "Fred Sled" to convert my centerfeed to a single shot.
