So I got a 22-250 and am trying to order an after market stock. After gettin the info from savage and ordering one from Boyd's turned out to be the wrong one. Not sure which way to go about ordering one that will fit???

What model is the rifle?

What is the Model number ? 22-250 is most likely short action. Centerfeed or staggerfeed ? With action out of stock, CF stays with stock, SF stays action. What is center distance of action screws?

i had savage run the serial number they told me model 10 short action side bolt release staggered feed, but when I measure the holes it's 5 1/8 which would be long action so I'm not sure what to order

Might try Savage Arms website, go to parts finder, enter s/n, see if it is different from what you were told.

You've got one of the 90's model 110 22-250. You will need to order a long action staggered feed stock for it.

Is side bolt release same as top do you? If I order from let's say Boyd's??
