Matte finish on Hog Hunter

I have been looking at a possible purchase of a new rifle, one more before I get old, LOL. The matte finish on many of todays new rifles seems to get complaints about rusting easy compared to the old style blued finish. Any insight on this issue on the new Savage products, Hog Hunter and others done in matte, much appreciated.

Got a Stevens shotgun matte finish and it's great holds oil the finish that is ,but I wipe my guns down a lot
