.243 Win - 85gr Sierra GK HPBT

Hi folks, a little advice and help needed here. Looking to see what my next step should be and what to load up. Here's a target I shot some time ago.

Have used the 85gr Sierra HPBT for years with H4831...one load that has shot very good in all the 243 rifles I have had is 43.5gr of H4831. Not super fast but very accurate.

Shawn I have used Sierra 85 gr. Game King HPBT in several 243 rifles over the years with 37to 38 gr. of IMR 4064. It has always shot like a target bullet and performed great on game.

Thanks guys! I don't have those powders on hand, but can give them a try if I can get my hands on them.

Anyone can advise on the data and what it means?

It's 100 yards. What other info should I try to obtain next time at the range?

all of the data you have basically means nothing...ladders need to be shot at 400+yds to distinguish nodes.

id suggest you shoot an OCW test instead of ladders...its a much easier/faster way to find loads...

Thanks! Ill give OCW a shot. With this load, what charges do you think I should load up for OCW?

This is my go to bullet in my 6mmAI. The most accurate so far and really anchors groundhogs,farthest one being 360yds. Haven't got try it on whitetails yet. I think I'm using IMR 4350.

My all time favorite bullet in my 243. I'd give the nod to H4832 sc. Exceptional accuracy and good velocity (over 3200) out of a bore with over 1500 rounds through it.

Tried to look back through my targets. I know I've shot these with 4064 and 4350 both, but the last one I guess I came up with was with RL19.

I used the 85 grain GK for years in my old sliding safety Ruger 77. It would group into an inch at 200 yards and dropped deer like they were hit by Thor's hammer. I neck shot my deer to eliminate ruining any meat and it was always bang, flop.

I had a chance to go to the range over the weekend and got a few shots in. According to Dan's OCW, I should be at an optimal charge. The center of those groups are within an MOA.
