I just purchased a new model 10 in an AccuStock & AccuTrigger. I had planned on swapping the AccuTrigger for a single-stage Timney but while closely reading on the Timney site I see the Timney 'AccuTrigger' model does not work with Savage BBR models.

My question is..., WHY? In other words, has anyone determined why the Timney model will not function with the BBR models? Is it as simple as a minor clearance issue that could be modified with a Dremel or appropriate cutting/grinding tool or is it a major issue?

Anyone figured this out?

I know Rifle Basix Sav-1 will work with bottom bolt release models.
I don't know what's all that different about the Timney. I always thought they were the same basic design.

I had really hoped someone on here had tried to fit the Timney trigger into a BBL model rifle and could share what they learned. Guess not. Not really too surprised as the AccuTrigger is such a good factory trigger that not a lot of Savage owners are interested in replacing it.

I'll call Timney next week and see if I can learn what the fit issue is with bottom bolt release models.
