sAVAGE BARRELS HAVE A LOT OF NUMBERS AND LETTERS STAMPED ON THEM. DOES ONE OF THESE TELL THE TWIST?

Nope. Just caliber and safety info. For twist look up your gun on Savage website. Or determine with a cleaning rod. Insert into chamber and stop at rifling. Mark the 12:00 position of the rod with a sharpie marker (color that will show up on cleaning rod) Start pushing rod down barrel and count the revolutions. As an example: a 1 in 10 twist in a 24" barrel will have @ 2.4 revolutions before it exits the muzzle. That would be one full revolution for 10" of barrel length.

I just rcvd a 22-250 bbl. Aside from caliber and warning, in order around the bbl, it reads: SP5; C8; E18; K and A10. These mean something,the bbl is rifled before chambering, they're identified somehow?

The markings are often the stamp of inspection to show they have been through a QC process.
