Could someone tell me the REAL difference between the Axis and 110?
I noticed this asked before, and one answer was something like
"different trigger, different stock, different action".
I have several of the older 110 type guns. So I am pretty familar
with them. Also I put the barrels on them, none are standard off
the shelf items.
I am interested in the REAL difference in design. I notice the Axis has
that enclosed type action. I sort of like that, I have a Savage target
action that is also this type of action. It makes for a more rigid action.

How similar is bolt design? Is it pretty much the same type design
with similar removable bolt head?
How about the trigger? I notice the Axis XP has accu-trigger. Is it pretty
much the same as the 110 accu-trigger? I have a field model with
accu-trigger and it is pretty good, but I would like it a little lighter.
I have that target accu-trigger on my 110 target type action,
and it is a hair trigger, too light except for serious target type applications, in my opinion.
How much interchangability is there is parts between the Axis and 110
type?
I assume the Axis models are all the same length. Do they use the
same magazines, like does a 308 and 3006 use the same mag or does
the short one have a spacer added to the magazine?
Can you interchange stocks?
Any comments on these comparable items is what I am looking for.
