So I bought my wife a model 16 LWH with the bottom bolt release and detachable mag and synthetic stock. I then bought a Boyd's stock for detachable mag and top bolt release. It's my understanding that I can change from bottom to top bolt release by changing the sear. I test fit the action in the stock to take the pics. Gun is chambered in 7mm-08 My questions are:
1. Can I put a floorplate with a magazine box and follower in the stock? I don't necessarily need the detachable mag function.
2. If keeping the detachable mag option, does anyone have a part number to a good metal mag instead of the cheap plastic axis mag it came with?
3. I have seen some of the rifles with a small lever in the floorplate that makes them a drop box I believe, is anyone familiar with that?
