axis 243 to 7mm rem mag bolt head type

i am making my 243 savage axis to a 7 mm rem mag and i need to know the proper type of bolt head that fits it to my current bolt.
i have different stock for long action and different mag. i just dont know what type bolt face. its a right hand bolt. i know its a mag face size .

You need a WSM bolt face, short action. For the correct part number, see the bolt head article on the last page of the faq.
Youll also need the axis style firing pin for the WSM chamberings to get the proper firing pin protrusion.

Never mind, I see you mentioned buying a whole new firing pin. I didn't think there was a firing pin from a 110 that would fit the Axis.

You're right, that firing pin will only work with the short actions. Trim 1/8" off the back of a 110 Magnum bolt face. I believe Fred sells them ready to go.
