The good:
I purchased a new Axis XP .223 rem, on 1-4-16. I took it to the range today. I could not be more pleased with the accuracy. Shot some American eagle 55 gr., Some Tula 55 gr. And some Georgia arms 68 gr. Accuracy was best with the Georgia arms, American eagle was almost as good, Tula was the worst. All were acceptable. All about 21 MOA at 100 yards.

The bad:
about 1/3 of the fired casings would extract but would drop back into the receiver. I contacted savage customer service. They agreed this was not good and are sending a new extractor, ejector and related springs. I will install them and see if that fixes the problem. If not the rifle will need to go back to the factory. Anyone else have this problem?

the trigger is the standard one and mine is not bad. When I get the ejection fixed I will work in the trigger.

over all I am very happy with the rifle.
