None.

I have a 22-250 & Creedmoor on long actions.

I've built a number of short action calibers on the long action, 223 Rem and 223AI, 260 Rem 308, 243 etc. For bench work, I just use a single shot follower. The 243, 308 and 260 feed from the longer magazine (30-06) just fine and I have the added benefit of being able to seat bullets out closer to the lands and still feed from the mag.

I converted my long action 116 from a .270 to a .308. Actually feeds better now. As GaCop points out, it also gives you more room to stretch out.

I have two conversions long action to 7mm08's. both work great. Matter of fact with the longer blind mags I don't have to worry with my reloads if they are to long to fit in the mag short action mags .

In short, go for it, it's a win win situation! :thumb:
