Bought a stevens .243 for a donor for the swift barrel I purchased from dcloco. I mounted the Redfield I was saving for the .270 (if that ever gets here) on burris signature rings and bases. If it wasn't so darn ugly it would be perfect. Planning on a stockys lvt or a boyds thumbhole and an sss trigger. I think that it should be a good start. Lemme know what you think.

Sorry for the poor pics, Kinda old school in the camera department so I only have the cell phone for digital.

Loaded up some test loads with 55gr nosler bt and H414. Going to go sight in and test to see it they will stabilize tomorrow evening. Should be interesting.

No matter what I do, the dang flimsy stock touches the barrel right at the tip. Sanded a little off and it twisted right back to it. I am going to have to be careful to hold it so that it doesn't touch. A new stock is in order quickly. Also the bolt lift is pretty rough, so Ill probably wait for the trigger till it gets t&t'd.

Any advise on the stock?
