It started out as a 223 with a varmint contour barrel. I converted it to a 308 with an ER Shaw varmint contour barrel, SSS upgraded lug, Savage 308 bolt head, and Savage "target" model trigger spring. Then sent it out to Manners to have a T3 stock fitted(bedded) with PTG bottom metal that uses AI mags. It has a Bushnell Elite 3200 fixed 10x with Warne rings and Weaver tactical 20 MOA base. Haven't shot it yet so I don't know how well it will do.

Nice! I have that scope on my 18" heavy barrel AR and it has been the most reliable scope I've ever owned. I think it's a great scope, but for the range you'll be capable of with that bad boy I'll bet your next upgrade is to a higher powered scope. I'm rocking a 10x on my 308 at the moment, too though while I save up for my next scope. I figure if the USMC snipers in Vietnam managed with a 10x, I'll survive shooting steel with mine.

I'm not really sure what I'm gonna stick on it once I upgrade. I have other rifles at this point with no optics so I need to get something to go on them first.
