Great info on this site. If any of you weighed your Boyds BMAG heavy barrel stock I'd appreciate seeing some numbers and the styles, especially the Rimfire Hunter or Classic. I just purchased a new BMAG HBSS, serial #J996XXX and I don't think I'm gonna be able to live with the factory stock, even if it shoots great. For what it's worth, my heavy barrel SS BMAG weights are:
5 pounds, 14 ounces - Total weight, no scope or mounts (adding Leupold VX-1 2-7x33 (9.9 oz) and Leupold PWR medium rings (? oz.), so total with sling should be under 7 lbs)
66.4 ounces - Barrelled action with factory scope mounts
26.3 ounces - Factory stock with two action screws
2.4 ounces - Magazine, empty
1 ounce - Trigger guard
