Differences in Action types

I'm looking for a simple pdf/word doc/articles that explains the differences between 10,11,12,14,16 and axis actions and why you would use one over the other and general parts compatible. Also I came across a page somewhere on this web sight that has general how to (brake down a bolt, change a barrel ect) by the staff and can't find it again.
