Firedot duplex or Firedot 4

Looking for a new acope for my 30-06. In the leupold VXR and VX6 series why would someone get with the 4 vs the duplex. I've never hunted with a German 4 of any kind. I do like a more bold reticle. Is the only advantage of the 4 quicker on target?

When it comes to reticles it really boils down to personal preference. I've never owned a scope with a German #4 so can't help ya much more than that.

Yeah your probably right. My favorite hunting reticle by far is Zeiss' Z-plex. Nice bold etched duplex . I think the regular firedot duplex would closest resemble that just with the added firedot. Sounds like a win win
