Newb from Texas

Hello all, I stumbled upon this forum while doing some research on a Axis .308.
After doing some speed reading I went ahead and picked up the XP version. Academy had a sale on them that ended yesterday.
It is actually my first rifle and I'm very excited to get it eventually set up to my liking. It will mostly be set up for range shooting.
Seems like there is a ton of knowledge floating around this forum and I will most definitely pick some of yours brains along the way.

I am down in San Antonio, born and raised here.
Yew plucker, I was out in Midland for a few months working. Absolutely hated it out there at first but it grew on me lol I get excited now when I have a service call pop up over there.
