Recoil lug question

I have a 10fp with a factory barrel, SSS trigger and it's bedded in a duramaxx stock. Would a SSS recoil lug be worth the trouble to install? Could I reinstall the barrel with a piece of fire brass and check with guages to get it back to where it was?

If your already bedded around the lug leave it alone until you are ready for a barrel change. When you change the barrell then it makes more sense to upgrade the lug. The fired case technique is fine for installing a barrel.
