Will a .22 mag or .17 MK II factory stock swap out/fit a MK II BTV (.22 LR) non-"E" (7 1/8"). I understand the magazine well is different, but can i just swap the 22 LR bottom metal, or is there more to it than that? (diff. screw holes, etc.). Rifle was a gift to my 10 yr. old, by a family friend, and LOP on thumbhole is way too long. Figured i would find a "throwaway" factory F stock and cut it to fit, rather than cut the nice BTV down. Looking for a LR stock, but if i stumble on a mag or 17, wasnt sure if they would work. Thanks.

Inlet is the same for both, just the bottom plate around the magazine is different. The newer E-Receiver stocks have a little more relief around the rear of the trigger, but nothing a quick pass with a dremel can't fix on an older stock if needed.

Jim, what about dropping a MK II action and barrel into a M93 stock?

Will it work?

Yep! Just have to change the bottom plate that surrounds the magazine.
