Sorry I do not have any pics, but I will get some images up asap to help my question. I did a basic strip of my new to me 1907 (1910 dob) in
.32 and noticed the barrel looked funny. Lots of scratch or teeth marks from a vice or tool, and it looks like the barrel was sleeved into the breech?
I just thought it was dirty, but there is only a ghost image of the lands and grooves after a pretty thorough cleaning.

If it is not to expensive relative to the cost of finding another in better shape, I would like to find a suitable replacement barrel.
So when looking for a replacement barrel, I would like to know if the barrel configuration changed at all in the 1907 series - I believe it changed for the 1915 forward?

The rest of the gun is in pretty good shape, only other slight is it has the later two hole mag, but that is not a huge deal
Any help would be great, thanks for your time.

You should be able to drop a 1907 barrel right in.

Not even sure that the 1915's changed. I have two 1915's, in 380, one had a damaged barrel and I had a new one made for a cost of $200, works great. The other barrel was well worn and I didn't want to spend another $200 on it so I got a factory barrel and dropped it in, gun shoots fine to this day.

The little Lug on the bottom of the Barrel, under the Feed ramp, changed size at some point, I do not know when, but a friend's circa 1914 m1907 has the small Lug, and my 1909 one, has the large Lug.

Early examples, the Lug is larger...( and the feed ramp is smaller as well ).

So, Early Barrels will not fit a later Frame, and vice versa.

My gun SN circa 1500 has a different size than my circa 10,500ish gun.

Here, grabbed this pic off a buddy, shows the early and later difference.

I have a large lug just over 3600 and a small lug just over 7500 - these have the stamped steel grips. I think the diameter of the 32 cal barrel also changed slightly at some point.

According to Baileys book the metal grips went to 10980, wonder when the large lug dropped out?
