Hello, quick question I'm sure some one will know, is the boyds savage axis stock metal trigger guard the same trigger guard as used on the 110 models? They look the same. Hoping some one that owns both could chime in.

I need a replacement trigger guard... I would love to buy the boyds 12$ one but they want 20$ for shipping so I'm a little resilient to buy that. Would rather get a metal 110 guard off amazon or something if it'll work.

Thanks!

It's the same as the trigger guard for top bolt release 10/110 rifles. Savage part numbers 105417 (matte) and 105928 (stainless).

And yes, paying the shipping charges Boyds lists for a trigger guard is asinine.

I just ordered a trigger guard and action screws from Boyd's. It rang up as $17 and some change for shipping. but when it ships and they bill you they send it USPS and they only charge you $9. I think their website just automatically puts shipping charges for a stock. Then they change it when they actually look at the order. Mine shipped and was billed yesterday $29 for a SS 10/110 trigger guard, nickel action screws and shipping.

The stainless from boyds is a heavy lil bugger compared with old 10/110 originals.
