New to this thread thing. I am trying to date my 99E . 300 , Lever action that sticks a bit . serial number C109250 have two newer savage models 308 and 243 and 270 on it's way. Any idea on the date and why it sticks would be appreciated. Thanks.

It was made in 1976.

Don't worry about a stiff lever bite, they're usually all that stiff, it's when they get loose that you have to do something about it.

Thank you very much . I don't notice it being sticky when I am at the range . Picked it up from a family member who passed in the spring. My father has hunted with the feather light model for many years and has treated him just great so I converted to Savage.
