Has anyone received their 110 BA in 338 Lapua yet? Distributor called my local gun store and said mine would be here Monday. I gotta say, it's about time! I've had this thing on order for nearly 6 months...

Thanks, Kent

I saw one at the local gun shop today, i'd love to see that barreled action in a Mcmillan A-2/A-3. I'd need one then. ;D

I have two of them coming here later this week. One is sold but the other is available if anyone is looking.

Jim,

My brother is looking to buy one..what will you be asking for it? It will be his first savage!

Well, it finally got here Tuesday. Mounted the base and scope tonight. I have two things that concern me tho. One, headspace is a little tight. Slight resistance when closed on a go-gage. 2nd, Savage must have test fired the rifle( I hope) before it left the factory, but they didn't clean it! Muzzle blast on the break, and copper scrapes on the feed ramp. Never seen this on a new Savage before....
The butt stock is much improved over the one on my 10 BAT. Looks like they went to Mag-Pul for those this time, and I really like the larger bolt handle. The ejection port is a whopping 4 7/8" long. Everything else is much like the 10 BAT. Although I haven't measured bolt spacing or over all action length yet.
mctjeep, you read my mind! That's gonna be the next stock I dup, is a hunting type stock for this thing. Maybe a Sendero type stock in maple.

Don't worry about the headspace being on the snug side. And yes, Savage test fires them at the factory.

Today I inspected both of the Savage Model 110 BA in 338 Lapua. Without the bolts or magazines installed these weigh in at just over 17 lb.

Just fired first loads in my 110BA. 300gr SMKs. Chrono'ed at 2726fps. Less recoil than my 30-06. Really surprising. Sweet rifle.
