When you say "Varminting", do you mean just gophers and pdogs? When I go after coyotes I use a heavier bullet and a different brand than I use on the little fuzzy things.

In 22-24 caliber for use on colony varmints the Hornady V Max line of bullets wins hands down in my guns.
