Hi,
My ML-II Plastic stock, Burris 3x9 ffII
shoots 42 grn 5744 win 209s, with 300 grn 458 diam sierra hpts around 1 1/2" at 100 yds.
3" at 200.

I think it can do better.
#1.What amount of inch pounds have you set the front action screw with ?
I know every rifle is different, just want to hear what others set theirs at.
#2. How many of you bed your rifles, and do you bed just the front action screw area, and since the back doesn't really pull the action down, just acts as a guide for the bolt to slide on, or do you bed both ?
Thanks in advance

Hey man I have an ML2 with the accu trigger. I shoot 48 grains of IMR 4227 powder and a Hornady .452 xtp. It's a freaking tack driver for a muzzleloader.

I use Barnes .458 bullet, H4198 for great accuracy and 2400 fps. Basically the same as I load for my 45/70 but it shoots better and faster from ML11

I don't think you'll see the true accuracy potential of your 10 ML-II in a Savage factory synthetic stock. You can try fully bedding the action and recoil lug area making sure the tang and barrel are floated. I would see if that improved accuracy with your current load before you start changing powders and bullets. Go to www.randywakeman.com to learn more about how to get the most out of your Savage 10 ML-II.

I have the stainless Savage 10 ML-II bedded in a laminated wood stock. I use N-120 (discontinued) with the Barnes Original .458; 300gr bullet (BC = .291) and orange HHP sabot. When I run out of N-120, I'll most likely try RL-7. I use a Leupold VX-2 2-7x33 with CDS dial calibrated for a 150 yard zero. Plenty accurate and good terminal performance for deer size game out to 300 yards.
