any reason a stevens 200 22-250 wouldnt work to build a 6.5x284? I never built off a stevens action before. Thanks

Same as a Savage 10 series with a lesser finish. I used the exact same donor to build my 6.5 Grendel.

I do all my builds on short actions because I have no use for magazines. For a 6.5x284 you may want to go with a long action if you are using a magazine. For instance, the 6.5x284 Norma is labeled that because it is loaded longer than a SA round. All depends on what you want to do. And the decision is the same rather you choose Stevevs or Savage.
