Hey guys,
Currently, I have a FVSR in .17 that is shooting quarter size groupings at 100 yards with a Mueller 8x32. I really like the look of the Boyds tactical stock with the more pistol-like grip. My question is for those who made the transition to the Boyds stock, what are the odds I will have to take it to to a gunsmith to bed and pillar the stock? It seems half the reviews I read, the stock fits fine, and the other half have to get the stock adjusted.

What is actually involved in the bed and pillar? I read about it alot on here but still not sure I understand what it means besides being able to slide a dollar bill betwen the barrel and stock. I just want some opinions to make an educated decision as to whether or not its even worth it to change my stock.
Thanks guys.
