Manners T4A question

Okay so I found a used T4A for my long action went to swap it out of the choate that it's been in and the screw I have for the rear of the trigger guard won't work. Does anyone know what type of screw I need and where to get it?

Wood screw, any hardware store you choose to go to.

That's what I have now but the stock has a threaded insert like a pillar

Take your stock to a local hardware store that has a good selection of loose bolts and screws, and hopefully a knowledgeable employee to help find what you need.

Or you could fill the hole with epoxy, insert a waxed wood screw let it cure, take out the screw put trigger guard in place put screw back in, done.

I would just find the proper sized screw to fit the current setup if it were me.

It is a #8-32 screw 1/2 long. I bet manners would send you one if you can not find it.
