Ok guys(and ladies). I have a 308 right now shooting groups of about 1-1.25" MOA. This will be a hunting rifle and Is currently shooting those groups using 150 Grain Winchester Deer Hunter XP. What kind of Hunting loads do you guys use, and what kind of groups are you putting up? Any recommendations would be seriously appreciated. Thanks!!

Hornady whitetail shooting .6 3 shot group. There is a Big Sky on it. Check your glass on a weapon that shoots better and see what happens.

If you plan to hunt this year, go with the deer hunter xp. And play in the off season to find what It likes best.

I think you will be fine for hunting. A good question is what range is your target area for deer? Mine is 50 yards to 150, then the forest takes over. I am hunting on timber company land.

Around the same range, 50-150 Yards. In the State Game Lands of Pennsylvania. I was reading some articles that said it wasn't worth sighting the rifle in for more than 75 yards in my area due to the density of the forest. But I always personally believe in the 100Yd sight in.

You'll be fine for hunting remember hunting is about shot placement on the animal a well placed bullet out of a 308 will kill any deer in the world
