Those of you using a Savage action for F-class competition...
Are you using the conventional action or the larger target action ?

When you have a dozen or more actions at one time to be converted, you cannot always keep up with which actions are male and which are female.
Then you accidently set a male action and a female action on the shelf next to each other.

target action.
What are the notable differences between the $600 target action and say, the action that came with my $600 FCP-SR?

The bottom of the target actions isn't milled away to accept a magazine. So it is stronger and stiffer.
