Heres what I'm thinking:

Put a centerfeed long action in a staggerfeed blind mag stock. Mount a centerfeed box mag inside the staggerfeed stock. Notch the front of the centerfeed box.

Any reason it wouldn't work? I've read about guys doing something similar. But can't find info or pictures. Should be able to load out to 3.7"-3.8"
What u guys think???
Thanks

What cal? You could just as easily go XLR chassis or a similar route and run CIP length mags, no? Assuming that the magazine is your limiting factor, there seem to be easier ways of doing what you're trying to do.

I think you will have to mill out the receiver to get anywhere near that length. Thats the part that scares people off because it's a permanent modification to the receiver.

Take lots of pix!

I need 3.60 that does not require action mods. Im building a 28 Nosler pushing 195 Bergers.

It's for a 300wm, I actually changed plans, got my Apache barrel, and it looks like the bullets I wanna use will fit in a standard centerfeed mag without modification. A 208 touches lands at 3.55" and a 210vld at 3.5". And looks like I can load out to 3.52" in the magazine. And instead of putting the centerfeed action in a staggerfeed stock, I ordered a blind mag centerfeed stockade mule deer. I using an old staggerfeed stock in the mean time, you could notch it and get your 195s out to 3.6" no problem, plenty of room
