Trophy Hunter 11/111 XP which caliber?

I'm looking into getting a 11/111 Trophy hunter xp around christmas time. The rebate they're offering + the accutrigger is too good to pass up. I'm just having a hard time deciding on what caliber. It'd probably be mostly used for target shooting,deer hunting and maybe hogs. The cheaper and easier to find the ammo the better.
I've ruled .223 out because i've already have a gun that caliber.

308 is the standard choice for cheap ammo. I went with 6.5 creedmoor. Ammo is more expensive, but it does everything the 308 does, just better. 30-06 would probably be a good choice too.

I went .270 win because I like shooting it better then 30.06, but .308 and 30.06 would be good for either of the applications you specified. Just don't start reloading to save money on ammo!!!!! Have your friend start reloading to save you money :cool:!

Thanks for the input. My girlfriend hunts with a 7mm-08. I thought about that caliber,but it's not every cheap. I think i'll go with the .308
