Morning all,
Bought my first Savage after years of buying other's. It is a Axis 223, I ordered a new trigger spring for it, and have a Burris 4.5-14x42 that I will set on top of it. It is stainless, and I must admit I am excite to get it going. I have always wanted to build, or carve I guess, a stock. I think this is the barrel and action I will us for this project. It will become a single shot, and hopefully a P-dog eliminator. Oh Yea, my name is Russell, found the site this morning while searching for Savage Axis 223 reviews, and I live in Montana. I will post pictures and stuff as I start the project in another thread later, and of course first targets and thoughts soon. It is awesome I found a Savage users website, if you have any suggest or experience with what I am about to attempt please send it my way. Thanks Russell
