I think that most of the inquiries are being taken the wrong way. Most of us are entirely grateful, and lets face it, tickled pink, that an item of this sort is becoming available. Again, MOST of us understand the time constraints and effort needed to develop a new product while trying to fill mass amounts of orders. Quality is what matters, which is why Fred is so busy.

Just speaking for myself, when a new product becomes available, I think: Alright! I get to have a large clip for my .243 or .308, or whatever. But wouldn't it be cool to have a 10 rnd for a 25-06? I think that's where most of the questions are coming from and should not be taken as an insult, if that is in fact the case.

NOTE: I have yet to order from SSS, as I am fairly new to this. But I plan to in the near future. A short action build is on the horizon and one of these mags will fit it nicely. Looking forward to it. ;)

I know that most are asking questions and no one has a problem with that or takes them as insults. I want long action also.
My point was for that one guy that was going to come on whining that they can't do it tomorrow. or there sold out and they have had one on order for a year. :)
we all know there will be one :)

Fred, will these feed an AI round also?

And do you plan to make in the future to match the SS hardware?

The internal length of the magazines are 2.925". Ackley improved catridges feed with no problems. To match stainless steel hardware the bottom metal can be left uncoated, but the latch will still be black.
I have plenty of drop in units at this time, but I can't schedule inletting until mid July.

Sounds really cool, my vote would be the long action Choate Tactical stock inlet ...

When will they be available and will it be a drop in fit for the 10fcp with mcmillan a5?

The long action magazines are about 2 weeks away from being in my hands. It will take some time to engineer the the magazine frames, so realisticly because of my schedule, it won't happen until sometime in august. Meanwhile, anybody interested in long action conversions, I will take orders.
The .223 version is still in R&D.

The magazines look like AICS magazines or their clones. I know of a brand called Accurate, C-Products just came out with them, and there's a third domestic clone brand whose name escapes me. The C-Prod magazine is still new but the other two brands have a great reputation.

If so that's a great deal for a drop in conversion. I have a Rem clone in a Manners stock with the bottom metal that takes AICS mags and have been wanting to share mags with my Savage centerfeed. Before this you were looking at $210 plus inletting for bottom metal from CDI Precison.

Will the 223 version use the same bottom metal?

Will it also use proprietary mags or will it use the AICS 223 mags?

If the mags are proprietary will they be higher capacity - say 15-20 rounds?

Ready to get one on order for my 10PC

The only part holding things up are the springs and followers, and I expect to have some magazines in a month.
Bad news on the long action version....looks like it ain't gonna happen. The magazines are too long for the frame and would take too much modification to facilitate making them work.

Can we "Pre-Order" the 223 Version? I have the DBM Stock already, so I just need all the parts and I am set.

Also, do we know the mag capacity for the 223 Version yet?
