I read that the Savage 110's were made in 250-3000 & 300 Savage. Anyone ever see one of these? I've looked for a 250-3000 bolt action for years, but never found one. I know they were made in the model 14 & 16 apparently I dozed off and missed that offering?

They offered both again for a couple of years (2008-??) as part of the 50th Anniversary of the Model 110. I think the .300 Savage was only offered in the limited edition Anniversary model, while the .250-3000 was offered in the Model 14 American Classic and the Model 16 FHSS.

Savage chambered them both for a short period of time in the model 14 American Classic. I have one of each and love them. You just have to watch the auction sites . The anniversary 110 in 300 Savage also is available from time to time but a bit over priced and flashy for banging in the woods. I had a local shop peddling one for $1100. There have been a handful of the 250 Savages the last couple of months on GB. My local Cabela's found the 300 Savage for me. I sent them an email asking if they had one in any of their stores and they found one. Shipped it in for $25. If you watch the auction sites a few times a week you will find one. Act quickly though because they don't last long!

There has been an American Classic 300 Savage on Gun Broker all week. Ends tonight. 2 weeks ago a nice 250 Savage in the same model was listed. Not my shooting irons. I would not part with them if they were mine.

I saw that one, I think I will hold out for my first choice the 250-3000, I wonder if the models 14 & 16 had the same weight barrels?

Not sure on the weight. I have never come across that caliber in the model 16. I know plenty of shooters have purchased a 22-250 and re-barreled to 250 Savage. If you like the American Classic you shouldn't have to do that though. They pop up on Gun Broker in 250-3000 from time to time.
