Honduras doesn't ban citizens from owning guns.

There are lot's of things that make me go hmmmmm right here in the U.S and A. Like the Oregon thing was in a "gun free" zone right? So the anti-gun logic called for more laws to restrict gun ownership and create lot's more "gun free zones". So I said to myself "Ok, let me get this straight. The shooting was in a "gun free zone" and people had to come into the "gun free zone" with guns to take out the dude with a gun in the "gun free zone" who was shooting people who did not have guns in the "gun free zone"? Ah! So the anti gun logic would result in more strict gun ownership and lot's more "gun free zones"? Wouldn't that require lot's more dudes with guns standing by to go into the "gun free zones" to rescue the people without guns in those zones when they were being shot at by someone with a gun in the "gun free zone"?

I can sympathize with those students who may have had CPLs but did not choose to carry that day (if there were any). Risking the thousands of dollars they've invested in their futures would be too much for many people to bear. Michigan has a weird CCW law wherein any non-felon who is allowed to have a pistol may carry it openly in public except in prescribed "gun-free zones". A CPL holder may not carry concealed in a gun-free zone but may carry openly there. My alma mater forbade carrying of any type on campus, with a possible penalty of expulsion. For a while, I unquestioningly followed the school's rule by locking my pistol away in my car, but as time (and the occurrence of a high profile murder-suicide at the nearby community college) went on, I started to question whether my actions placed my life and the lives of others at a lower value than my attendance at the university. Of course, they did.

Just a reminder to keep politics out of it guys.

P.S. I knew this thread would go political as soon as I saw it yesterday, only question was how long it would take. Be mindful of where it will go when starting threads like this guys.
