What kind of shooting are you looking to do? Benchrest, 300-600, or ELR?

I've read all of these and they are great reads from experts in the field on what it takes for extreme precision.

If you're looking for load data, I've found that more general books like Lee's Modern Reloading have a great breadth of information but can lack specifics. Similarly, more specific manuals like Berger's Reloading Manual will go into greater detail on specific load combinations but will not be a good general resource. When I was cooking up loads for my 243 Winchester, for example, Lee had dozens of bullet weights, many with several powders, but there was nothing for 115 grain VLDs. The Berger manual had several loads listed for each of their bullets, but they only had data for their own products (sensible, really).

At over $400 for a used copy of Brennan's "Precision Shooting Reloading Guide" (Amazon) you'd think they'd re-publish it.

Is $400 the asking price or are people actually paying it?

I didn't check Ebay to see what the bid value was, the price I saw was at Amazon and those are fixed prices.

For load data, it would behoove you to log onto each powder manufacturer's site.

For example, Hodgdon- type in to get load data. You will be prompted to fill in caliber, bullet weight, powder brand and powder type i.e. H335

This is what you will get on a scroll down;

TNX for all the replies. I have the basic books, however I would like to start reloading for 200 to 600 yards out. Just for fun so I don't want to turn necks, weight components. Just learn to develop a cartridge that begins with factory specs as far as OAL, then move into seating longer ect. I need something to explain nodes, grouping and such. I have Applied Ballistics and basic manuals. Just looking for things that start to explain moving on from there. TNX again. BTW, I'm sure I won't spend $300 dollars for a book. Maybe ten books, but not one.
