I have both and use them in 308 and 7-08. I have used them in the 260 but the h414 will bring my groups a lot tighter. Just this rifle I suppose.

I recently picked up a Savage Model 11 in 260 Remington with a 1-8 twist I'm puzzled with this rifle it shoots factory 120 gr nosler ballistic tips under a dime at a 100 yards and 100 gr Sierra hollow points under a ½ in with Rl15 but I've tried 129 gr SST and the following powders and can't get a decent group. Rl19,22 IMR 4831,4350. Any suggestions

I'm still playing with my mdl 16, it too shoots factory (Federal) 120 gr Nosler Ballistics better than what I've loaded so far using the same bullet and H4350. The Federal ammo is .063" off the lands and so far everything I've loaded has been .020" off the lands. At 45.0gr of H4350 I had flat primers and extractor marks on the case head. The plan is to find a descent load and fine tune the charge weight and length.

My rifle shoots Hornady 123gr SST pretty good but I had pressure signs at 45.0-45.5gr using H4350. I have 4064, Varget, H380 and picked up a pound of H414 Monday.

I haven't really shot this rifle enough to get comfortable with it, can't seem to get the plastic stock to ride the bags well. Plus I'm used to shooting my 12lb Mdl 12 FVSS in 22-250 and 9lb MKII BTVLSS .22, both have thumb hole stocks and the traditional stock just feels awkward now.

id try some RL-17 in both these rifles.

LongRange, is RL17 temperature sensitive?

from 5 rounds in my lunch box with an ice pak to 5 rounds sitting in the 95deg sun for for 10 minutes i showed a 30fps increase over a chrony...i dont think RL-17 is as temp sensitive as ppl make it out to be and the bonus of it is(if it shoots in your rifle)the increased velocities...it does burn a little hotter than the single base powders...another powder you may want to try first is H100V.

Thanks, I'll pick up a pound if my local gun shop has it and dig up some load data for the 120,123 and 130 grain bullets I have.
