111 Lady Hunter for my wife, was rebarreled to 6.5x55 with a Krieger 5R barrel, profiled and cut to 20" to maintain balance for very petite/small people :) - not important but just to show that there is $$ already put into it...
Bottom metal is all plastic, I am going to pillar bed and glass bed the stock. I am hoping there is an alternative with metal magazine well and triggerguard (with bolt release assembly/mechanism in a trigger guard as is right now) available for these.
So, its a LA, detachable magazine...
magwell (plastic) of the rifle actually shows part: 108656; Savage diagram shows 'frame' (13A) as: PN: 109399...
Triggerguard does NOT have Savage part number on it at all; but I would want the whole assembly metal, if possible.
Any and all help is appreciated. Looked at http://www.savageshooters.com/content.php?325-Choosing-the-Right-DBM-Stock-Bottom-Metal-Parts-Tutorial but not sure what I actually need that will fit...
Side note: Accutrigger on this one is actually something I ended up keeping vs. intended Rifle Basix trigger purchased on it (that was a 'pain' as original SAV-2 purchase did NOT fit action with triggerguard bolt release)... Just funny that trigger, despite all discussions, is quite decent on this particular rig.
