Hi, everybody!
I'm a retired Air Force first sergeant (hence the name) who spent his formative years as an intel geek. Happily married (finally! Only took three tries.) Have two grown kids, and four grown stepkids, and a whole swarm of grandkids, most of whom are pretty good minions.
Currently have three Model 11 (left-handed) rifles, two old-style blind mag type, and one Scout that I ordered a couple of years ago. All in 7mm-08 (that's a long story, all by itself), and am currently reload for mine and three others belonging to the Senior Minions (granddaughters, two 15YO and one 11YO).
And I just acquired a pair of youth-sized Mark IIs, in a lefty persuasion as well, to go with the full-size lefty that gets used for varmint control.
Live on a small acreage in North-Central Alabama, about equidistant between Bankhead National Forest and the Tennessee River, which I share with The Boss, and a variable number of dogs, cats, chickens and horses.
Looking forward to learning a lot, (just got my first Savage rifle about 4 years ago), and hoping to be able to contribute something useful, once in a while.
First round's on the new guy, right?
