A little more information is needed. Are you trying to use a short action round in a long action magazine? Do you need a short action front baffle?

Yes shorter case in longer action. 250 Savage in a 30/06 action. Baffle is not needed. 06 is already in a boyds stock so cannot just purchase a shorter magazine to work in it.

Have you tried to use the long action mag? They work well with the 308 family. Some feed lip bends and it ought to work.

I have a blind magazine 110 action that fed 308 fine, but for the life of me I could not get it to feed 22-250. I ended up buying a short action blind magazine and made a filler bracket to mounted in the place of the long action magazine. Point is that long action mag may not be able to mod / bend enough to make feed.

All Axis are long action, but don't the short calibers use a different trigger guard / bottom configuration to use short mags? Maybe you could buy the short bottom parts?

he's working with an Boyd's stock, not the original tupperware. i did what you said on my tupperware stock so i can go between long and short mags, works good. i think the piece was $8-9 + shipping.

So outside of selling his long action mag stock and getting a short action mag stock he needs to manufacture something to adapt one, short action 25 Sav mag(308) to the other, long action mag inlet.

Alright , if I am understanding you correctly, I can 1 buy a new Boyds stock for the short magazine and get a short magazine to go with it. or 2 use the stock for the long magazine but fine a way to adapt it to use the shorter magazine. Is there any difference between the 22/250 magazine and the 243 win magazine?

Try seating the cartridges near the front of the mag.
