About this time last year I began putting together a dedicated long-range rifle. Wanting to do it myself I opted to go with a savage action. I have played with a few different configurations with optics and stocks but I have finally come to a point where I am happy with the rifle and feel like it is "complete".

Savage 11 action
26" Criterion Barrel chambered in .260
Fluted bolt with over-sized bolt knob
Accu-trigger with aftermarket spring and a crisp 1-lb pull
Aftermarket recoil lug and barrel nut from Northland Shooter Supply
Vortex Gen II Razor 4.5-27 x 56 w/Vortex level
Atlas BT46-LW17 PSR Bipod 4.5-9"
XLR Industries Element Chassis with Taclite folder stock
Accuracy International 10 rd magazine

I am very impressed with the adjustibility of the chassis system. I was able to adjust it to match perfectly to my natural point of aim.

She's not light! Weighs in at 15.8 lbs unloaded. I have about 600 rounds through it and was able to compete in my first PRS match this last Saturday.

I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Nice. I am building almost the same rifle in 6.5 CM but will have a Viper PST instead of the Razor. Can't afford it lol.

Awesome stick! What scope base are you running, just out of shear curiosity? lol

And how'd the PRS match go?

Look like Vortex/Seekins rings but not sure. Would like to know as well.

Also what profile of that barrel?

Correct on the Vortex/Seekins rings. I am running an IOR Valdata 20 MOA base. As you can see in the pictures I had to cut the front of it off because there just wasn't enough clearance for the scope.

PRS Match went ok. I did not get last place :) It was my first one so my goal was to just go out and have some fun, which I did. I do need to pick up a sling for the off-hand and kneeling shots though. That would make life much easier. We had 20 local guys qualify for the regional match being held in Washington, I believe, so I have some good guys to help me learn.

Edit to add: Barrel profile is Varmint. Got it from Jim at Northland Shooters Supply.

Thanks. I will also be ordering my barrel from Jim. Did you have your barrel threaded?

Nice rifle! Those chassis are sharp.

Do you shoot left-handed or -eyed? I noticed your cant indicator is on the right, which struck me as unusual.

Is the bolt a PTG body? If not who fluted it? Does it cycle without binding? Nice rig!

If it is a PTG bolt housing does it cycle right. I have one and had to try it on 3 different actions before I found one that it would work on. On the others it would cycle but it looked and felt like the bolt would not go the whole way down. If you pushed it down it would cause it to fire. I talked to the engineer at PTG several times and he wanted me to send it back but I put it on the action I now have it on and it works fine.
