I'm having trouble finding hand tools to true a savage action I've browsed all over the internet and can't seem to find anything. If anyone has any information I'd greatly appreciate it.
I was also curious as to what barrel I should use. I've narrowed it down to two manufacturers
Shaw or Shilen I'm looking to maintain sub moa accuracy out to 300 yards consistently. The calibers I was looking at since I have a 270 were:
.270, .30-06, .308, .260 Remington, 6.5 creedmoor, .243 Winchester, 7mm-08

I reload so none of the above will be a concern of mine as far as ammo goes.
Thanks in advance!

I've got McGowen and Shaw barrels and they are both quite good with the McGowen being the better quality of the two. You should look at PTG (Pacific Tool and Guage) they will probably have the tools you are looking for. You will want to get a good recoil lug (PTG or MidwayUSA) and barrel nut (SSS sharp shooter supply) I believe. I've got rifles in 270, 308, 260 and 7-08. All are very accurate, just depends on what you are looking to do with them (hunting, target, combination, distances you want to shoot, etc.)

Of the two choices Id go with Shilen. There are several unlisted options that would serve you well to. I'd personally go 260, 6.5 creedmor or 243 for 300. If you eventually want 600 plus then 260/6.5. Low recoil and many bullet options with high BC. 243 would serve well past 600 but the others will tolerate the wind more efficiently.
