Why would the 6.5 Creedmoor be more accurate than the 260 Remington if they were both made from the same brass supplier ?

They're the same. The Creedmoor's advantage is the shorter case that works better in a magazine fed rifle that has more limited space to seat bullets long. Other than that the 260 is capable of a few more fps due to capacity.

Yep, they are essentially the same exact thing, just have different names.

Yes, their about the same, but it's something about a 260 that I like. Between the two, I would chose a 260, but would be happy with a Creedmoor.

I guess it's what you want, you should be happy with either.

Those mag length restrictions make all the difference when one needs an edge in long range competitive shooting.

That makes the Creedmoor more interesting for folks wanting to do well in long range competitions.
