I have a couple of them and am quite happy. Anybody out there have a bad experience with one?

I feel that if the scope works for you that is enough. For many years I hunted areas with great conditions - nice and sunny from noon to about half and hour before sunset. As long as the scope held its zero, not much mattered.

I started off with Bushnell Banner scopes and have replaced them over the years when problems arose. I now hunt in a different area with much more varied weather conditions. I notice issues with my current scopes, but, these occur only in adverse conditions such as fog. The area I hunt is very rugged and falls are not uncommon so the next I time I break a scope I'll upgrade.

I have had a couple of the XLT's. I liked them.

As Haiku said, your situation and likes is what matters.
I now only hunt with Bushnell scopes that have RainGuard. I wouldn't hunt with a $5,000 scope if it can fog-up on the outside when I breath on it in extremely cold weather. 99% of the scopes out there do.

So... if it works for you, great. I would say it's one of the better "budget" scopes out there.

Thanks, you agree with me........hunt of a lifetime, I would only use the best. But I find the glass, image and adjustments on the Trophy to be adequate for most applications. Had a 3-9 Trophy that didn't fog up when a Weaver and Burris did. Trophy was new and the others are 10 + years old.

I have the cheaper Banner 4-12 in a 22RF. It wins, when I do my part. Let us know how you like the Trophy 4-12. Would really like to hear from guys with the higher power Trophy's. I think I am going to try a Mueller 4-16 next time.

I had to learn the hard way years ago, BSA is the bottom feeder of scopes along with NC Star.

That's hilarious.

I've had a couple of BSA's that were great for the use.
NcStars I've never had.
